Mom - You're a Rockstar
Mother's Day is right around the corner and there is nothing more wonderful than delivering a handmade gift to Mom on her special day. Today, Kim Stevick is on the blog sharing a fun and different way to let Mom know that she ROCKS!
My son likes to collect rocks and shells from the beach. He has amassed quite a collection, so I thought I would put a couple of them to good use and make a fun project for Mother's Day. These painted rocks can let your mom, or any woman in your life, know that they rock!
These precious rocks are as easy as 1-2-3-4! You can even get the kids involved in this fun craft!
How to make them:
1. Choose some smooth, rounded rocks. Wash them with soap and water and let dry completely.
2. Paint at least 2 base coats of white acrylic paint or gesso. Let dry completely.
3. Use acrylic paints and/or permanent markers to create the face and hair.
4. Apply a finishing coat of a clear sealant or mod podge.
Add the painted rocks to a sweet card, or give the pretty rocks all on their own! They are sure to make a statement either way!!
