Stacy's Pick

My pick today was inspired by Stephanie Baxter's All About Me | From A to Z class. Stephanie resides in the UK and Diane Williams, who created the album I'm sharing lives in New Zealand. Seriously. Stop and think about that for a moment. We are a part of a fabulously creative community that spans continents. Amazing. I guess I'm feeling extra grateful today for BPC and for the ease of global connection that brings us together to learn and share. Good stuff for sure.

Back to Stephanie's brilliant idea and Diane's beautiful adaptation of it …

Start with a 4x4 mini album.

Create a page for each letter of the alphabet and use it to reveal something about yourself. Diane is an animal lover!

Share what you've learned and value, and be sure at some point to include a photo of YOU.

I love this concept, because an alphabetical organization allows you to pull together all kinds of photos and themes from your life: Beliefs, hobbies, personality, travel, etc ...

Notice how Diane's consistent use of a stitched letter and small typewritten title unifies all this diversity!

Diane is a paper-loving, cupcake-eating, to-do-list making, designer who lives with her husband and two fur-babies. She loves coffee, gold, polka dots, coffee, anything sparkly, Washi tape, puppies and coffee!
You can see more of Diane's work on her blog or on Instagram

Diane started scrapbooking when she was just 14 years old, but three years ago she discovered Project Life and she hasn't looked back. It is now her main method of memory keeping but she still loves traditional scrapbooking, card-making and all around general craftiness! As you might guess, Diane reports her guilty pleasure includes far too much coffee drinking! She also watches endless YouTube nail art tutorials, and she obsessively boasts a rather large Washi-tape collection. The last book Diane read was Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins, "I couldn't put it down and ended up reading the whole thing in two days! (while neglecting all the rest of my weekend chores)."

Diane first discovered BPC through Ali Edwards' One Little Word classes a few years ago but never took any other classes until the new website was launched this year. She says, "I love it! Even if I don't make anything at the time, I love watching the lessons for inspiration."

This is so good @dearlydee! Love your photos and those stitched letters. Do you hand stitch/embroider those? I'd love to give this a try. Thanks for sharing!
