Quick Tutorial: Banner Punch Board

Make today a “banner” day! Aly Dosdall is a pro at using the We R Memory Keepers Banner Punch Board and shares inspiring ideas and fun projects in her class, Banner Day! Today, she's joining us on the blog to share even more inspiration for creating beautiful banners for your scrapbook layouts, cards and more!

Hello BPC friends! It’s Aly Dosdall here with you today on the blog to share a project using one of my favorite new tools, the Banner Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers. I’m a big fan of using banners as décor pieces, on scrapbook pages, and on handmade cards. They add such a fun and festive look. The Banner Punch Board makes it easy to include them on my projects. Check out the fall card I made using this awesome tool!

What I love about the Banner Punch Board is that not only does it cut perfectly shaped and centered banners every time, but it’s super versatile too, cutting three different banner shapes all the way from 1” to 8 ½”. You can see the three different banner shapes on this card—pennant, flag, and crest.

I love layering the different banner shapes on my projects. The contrasting shapes grouped together create a cool look. You can see in the photos below how easy it is to cut the different banner shapes with this one tool by placing your paper into the magnetic arm in different ways.

Once I cut my three banner shapes and machine stitched them to my card, I finished it off by adding some twine, a sticker, a mini clothespin, and a sentiment at the top.

If you’re a fan of banners like I am, and would like to learn more about the Banner Punch Board, check out my Banner Day  class where I’ll show you how to make three beautiful projects using banners in unique and unexpected ways. CLICK HERE for more details about this class.

Thanks for letting me stop by today and share some banner love with you. I hope this project inspires you, and that you’ve enjoyed learning about one of my favorite tools. I look forward to seeing you in class—happy crafting friends!
