My sister took this picture of my niece, and I felt like it had nice light (and my niece is adorable :) Where I don't know specifics, I think it's taken at a narrow aperture, because there is background detail (even though the subject is not far away from the background). I actually like the shallowness of the picture here, because she was/ is totally stealing the attention.

yes! love the pretty light and shadow. love how the attention goes right to her eyes and sweet smile!
