Illustrated Faith 02 | Peace & Strength
Isaiah 41 - Fear Not
I picked Isaiah 41 because it gives me strength & hope to realize that I am not only in God's right hand (v10) but He also holds me by my right hand (v13)...fear not is the theme & as encouraged by Shanna I dug in my stamp stash & while I couldn't find a 'fear not' stamp...I found a favourite alphabet stamp and played with that...The letters were too large to spell 'fear' horizontally so I tried to get a bit creative. As I was journaling about what the verses mean to me, I journaled about God being the shield through which I see & experience the world, so the globe stamp (from SU's Traveler set) seemed perfect...I had highlighted text using a teal gelato, so I tried to stamp in a similar color (there is a bit of bleed through the other side). The last stamp I used on this page is the bird, which is from the companion stamp set to this class...at first I was saving it for when I journal about Isaiah 40 (that those who wait upon the Lord will mount up on wings like eagles), but since this is not an eagle, I have other ideas for that page (which faces this one:) ...I think the rising flight of the bird in the transition from Isa 40 to 41 is quite symbolic:)

The bird stamp and "fear not" are lovely and eye-catching.
