Journaling in Your Memory Planner
Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Planner I use The Happy Planner® as my memory keeping and functional planner. The examples I demonstrate in class use this line of planners. However, any type of planner works beautifully to capture our everyday stories
-
Planner Pen Any brand of pen you want to use for journaling is great. Use a pen that works well on your planner surface, as well as card stock or other paper products. I use The Happy Planner® black pen.
-
Photos We are going to add pictures to the memories documented in the various lesson, but adding them is optional.
-
Tags You can use shipping tags, decorative tags, scrapbook tags or tags you make yourself. In class I share how I add these into my planners with pictures and writing.
-
Personal Ephemera Collect any pieces of memorabilia that you would like to add into your planner. I am going to demonstrate how you can use them as a foundation for journaling. Some examples to collect would be cards, tickets stubs, notes, maps and brochures.
-
Project Life® Cards Any 3x4 or 4x6 pocket style cards can be used. We are going to use these to tip-in some journaling spots.
-
Washi Tape Any color, brand and style can be used. Use the color scheme of your planner week as a source of inspiration in choosing your washi.
-
Paper Bags In class, we will add cute, decorative bags into our planner to house journaling. I like to collect a variety of sizes.
-
Page Protectors - Designed for planners. I love putting together pocket pages! Check and see if your planner line has protectors designed for your planner. The Happy Planner® has two different sizes pre-punched for their planner and I use them a lot.
-
Planner Punch or Hole Punch Several examples used in class are added to my planner spreads using a planner punch designed for the disc bound system. If you use a binder style planner, a hole punch is useful.
-
The Happy Planner® Snap-In Tabs I use these adhesive tabs to add journaling spots easily into my discs.
