Required Supplies

Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!

1. Gesso You will need Gesso to prepare your pages for paint and spray inks
2. ModPodge This will be the most important material. You"ll need it to attach fabric, paper, and embellishments to your art journal.
3. Acrylic paints Select a few of your favorite acrylic colors to use throughout your journal.
4. Large Brush A good brush is key to pretty much all the projects. You will paint and apply Gesso and Modpodge with a brush
5. Spray Inks Select your favorite spray inks and keep them handy. We'll be using them throughout the book.
6. Tissue Paper (2 colors) We'll be using tissue paper to create a beautiful background.
7. Old Book You will need an old book to use for our art journal
8. Cheese clothe and Lace We will be creating a beautiful background using the cheese cloths and lace.
9. Stencils Stencils are a must on mixed media project. Keep a few handy for lesson 4
10. Strong Adhesive Get all your types of glue out. We will need them for all sorts of materials
11. Old Magazines We will be using lots of paper from magazines. Visit your local discount store and buy a few old magazines.
12. Letter Stickers These will be important when we add titles and quotes to our projects
13. Embellishments Keep some of your favorite embellishments handy. Decorate your projects with the best of your stash.
