Totally Brilliant
I used five techniques - misting on a stencil to make the blue chevron paper, watercoloring a background with the yellow mist on the left, using a stencil for a stitch guide (may be hard to see - I used a large chevron stencil and machine stitching between the hexagon paper and the yellow watercoloring), dropping dots of ink with an eyedropper (well, okay, the end of the spray thing), and changing the color of embellishments (the wood veneer chevrons on the left - I misted them blue). I have a really hard time using mists and stencils, and while I love the look, I can never seem to make it look as nice on my pages as it does on other people's. This time, I'm really happy! I really appreciate these ideas, because they definitely upped my game with these techniques.
The pictures are from our favorite campground in the Black Hills on our cross-country road trip. I'm sure it's no great surprise that my kids liked this jumping pillow better than looking at Mount Rushmore! Oh, well, they'll be glad they saw it someday.

Spray mist has always been a challenge for me, but you worked it like a pro on this layout. I love that you were able to incorporate so many different techniques. Thanks for playing along.
