*I create what I see out of who I am.* i began teaching myself to paint in 2008... all the play-filled paths i've followed since 2008 have led me to my own way of painting and seeing that i call "gut art". upon closer inspection, you can see playful layer upon layer of story-telling in the backgrounds, and it's these layers that eventually yield the quirk-ily beautiful characters and scenes that make you stop long enough to smile, to think, to remember, to laugh, to feel life in all of its bitter-sweetness, and to take heart in the midst of it all. my prayer is that the art that comes out of my life will encourage people to THRIVE.
