30-Minute Layouts
Madame Tussauds
My go to techniques are:
1. Framing the page. Usually I use two papers - a plain, a patterned, or I doodle or faux stitch around the edge. For this layout 1 cardstock and a patterned paper.
2. I normally pick two colours out of my pictures - and choose embellishments and papers to match. In this case I used the navy blue and the yellow.
3. I normally mat the photos, usually by printing with a white border. In my layout I used a photo from a tourist attraction - and it had the white border.
4. I usually splat some mist on the layout in matching colours - I used a blue and gold on this layout.
5. I type and print my journalling. I just put white cardstock cut to 4x6 through my photo printer - its really quick!
6. I normally try to get a visual triangle on the page. For this layout - the ink, the journalling/title, and the cluster on the bottom left.
7. I quite often punch or die-cut shapes or borders. I punched one border from scraps for this layout, and used a border sticker as well.

Great layout - I love the layers of borders, and the ticket embellishment.
