need help with the last loop on the left needle
total newbie needs help lol! 'm on the first row of stitches & i'm down to the last loop on my left needle (it will be #25 if i can ever move it over!)-it's the last loop- the first one that we put on the needle with the slipknot- but i'm not sure what to do? i have a pretty big line of yarn in between the needles too now & don't know how to tighten it lol! if i try to knit this last loop over like all the others,, i'm getting a mess, (is it the slipnot that's doing this?) thankfully I removed it successfully back onto the left needle & thought i'd stop & ask for help! :)

Oh! I see what you mean. You let your slip knot swallow your tail. For this, I would just slide it off the needle and be 1 stitch shorter -- you can't really fix this without starting over. The trick is not to let your stitches get too far apart from each other while you're working them, because the backwards loop cast on will drift like that! Your knitting looks perfect though on the right side!
Thank you so much for your help Hannah! I will just take it off and be 1 stitch shorter on this practice piece- I'm glad my knitting looks ok- i'm still trying to get comfortable with how to hold everything so this practice is perfect for me :)

Gabrielle - someone said its like teaching your hands s new language. that resonated with me - felt so awkward! a little better now - & so much fun! how is yours coming along?
So true! I always tell people to look at how children have trouble learning to tie their shoes. One day it's the hardest thing they have to learn, the next day it's second nature. Knitting is just like that, we just have to develop muscle memory!

How's your project coming along? Love the color and yarn you picked. :)
