Required Supplies
Do you have all your supplies? Use this checklist to be sure you're not missing anything you'll need!
-
Paper For all of the lessons in this class, you will need paper. I recommend collecting 32lb white paper, plain and patterned cardstock, graph paper, magazine pages you like, and scrap paper.
-
Embossing Powder, Ink, & Heat Tool To create embossed monogrammed stationery, you will need embossing powder, ink, and a heat tool. Any color of embossing powder will work.
-
Envelopes & Notecards For our monogrammed stationery set, you will need premade envelopes and notecards. You can either purchase these ahead of time, find some in your stash, or make them yourself.
-
Tags We will use shipping tags in two different lessons in this class. I recommend having both standard tags (can be purchased in a variety of colors at most craft stores), and making your own tags out of patterned paper (I will show how to do this in the lesson!)
-
Washi Tape You will need a handful of washi tapes to use in this class. Some will be used to create embellishments, and some will be used to create samplers to gift. If you'd like to create samplers, you will also need a playing card or a piece of acetate paper.
-
Sewing Machine In two of the lessons, I use a sewing machine as a book binding method. If you have a sewing machine, get it set up with white or black thread. If you don't, you can always use an alternate book binding method!
-
Grocery Bag or 11"x17" Paper To create the Embellishment Book in lesson 6, you will need a piece of 11"x17" paper. If you have that size of paper, that's perfect! Otherwise, you can always cut apart a grocery bag (I show how to do this in the lesson).
-
Sticker Maker and/or 1" Circle Labels To make our envelope seals and embellishments, you will need a sticker maker or 1" Circle Labels. White Circle Labels made by Avery can be found in most office supply stores, or even grocery stores! A sticker maker will help us make embellishments to share out of paper.
-
Paint Any acrylic paint you have on hand will work for this class. I use both colored paint and a black chalkboard paint.
-
Adhesive A glue stick, roller adhesive, or double sided tape will do.
-
Bits & Pieces To create the DIY embellishments in this class, you will need paper clips, fabric tape, patterned paper scraps, stamps, ribbon, and washi tape.
-
Stamps In this class, you will be able to put your stamps to use! Try to find a calendar set, a label set, and an alphabet/monogram set if you have them.
-
Paper Punches You will need a one-inch-ish circle punch and a hole-reinforcement punch to create the projects in this class. If you don't have a reinforcement punch, you can always use reinforcement labels or add decoration in a different way.
